Toby's Hat is doing gardening

Sustainability and community

We believe gardens are living ecosystems, places where people, plants and pollinators can thrive together. Our aim is to create beautiful gardens that add value to homes, support nature, and feel good to spend time in, now and for years to come.

Our environmental ethos

Sustainability is part of how we design, build and care for gardens, not a separate add-on. We focus on practical choices that reduce waste, protect soils, and support long-term garden health.

We’re developing our environmental and sustainability policy to help reduce emissions, use lower-impact materials, and improve circularity in the way we work.

Biodiversity and climate resilience

We design gardens that work with nature and cope better with change. That means creating spaces that support wildlife, improve soil health, and manage water more wisely, while still feeling considered and beautifully finished.

Gardening for Wildlife

Create a garden alive with birds, bees and butterflies. We help you add the right planting, habitats and water features to support wildlife through the seasons, without letting the space feel messy or unmanaged.

Climate-resilient gardens

Climate-resilient gardens

Future-proof your garden against droughts, downpours and shifting seasons. We design and build gardens that manage water well, create shade and shelter, and use planting that’s better suited to changing conditions.

Sustainable practices in our work

Every garden is different, but these are a few of the practical ways we aim to reduce impact while keeping results premium and long-lasting.

  • Low-impact materials, chosen carefully: Selecting materials with longevity in mind, and using local or reclaimed options where it suits the design.
  • Right plant, right place: Planting suited to the site, so the garden needs less intervention over time.
  • Water-wise design: Better drainage, rain gardens, permeable areas, and planting that copes with dry spells.
  • Gardens designed for long-term care: Thinking about maintenance from the start, so the garden keeps looking good and stays healthy.

Our commitment to the future

We want every GreenArt garden to feel like a positive step, for your home and for the natural world around it. We’re continuing to develop our sustainability approach, build more biodiversity-led gardens, and design spaces that cope better with changing weather.

It’s about creating gardens that feel premium and carefully finished, while still being kind to the environment.

Community partnerships

We’re proud to support local initiatives and environmental partnerships that help nature thrive in our area. It’s part of our commitment to being rooted in the communities we work in, and to making a positive impact beyond individual gardens.

Wow what can I say, we took on Green Art to look after our garden last autumn and we are so happy with our decision. The team they have given us..Adam and Toby are absolutely fantastic. They are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, super professional and easy to get on with. We’ve got a great collaboration whereby we discuss priorities, problem solving, planting schemes and ideas and they always go above and beyond to deliver a first class service.

From my very first phone conversation with Jo I knew I had made an excellent choice in GreenArt Garden Design and Landscaping. Shortly after the initial contact with Jo I met with her husband George to discuss what would work for me in terms of design, use, costs and so forth. Within a few days I had a plan which was way beyond expectations and really fabulous providing adventures for grandchildren, something lovely to look at and also relatively easy to maintain
