Backwards & Forwards

Well, another year nearly gone. The last three GreenArt Garden Design and Landscaping projects of the year are nearing completion and the Garden Care and Development team are working hard on clearing their gardens back to winter bare bones, ready for the oncoming Spring. Plans are well underway for 2022 and beyond with a lot of exciting work already in the diary.

Before we file the 2021 diary away, a flick through the pages brought back some highlights from probably our busiest year ever.

Deck the halls with something new this Christmas…

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tis the season to deck the halls and whilst the poinsettia is probably the most quintessentially festive of plants, here are five other seasonally flowering favourites that are definitely worth considering, to add some living loveliness to your Christmas scheme indoor and out.

We’re right in the middle of another Great British Summer so we of course should be expecting high temperatures and dry days. After a long, cold winter and a very late spring this year, the summer heat has been exceptional and even though you and I might be loving sitting out in the sunshine or preparing a steak for the barbeque, our gardens need to be managed at this time of year just as much as at other times.

A Very Hungry Caterpillar

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When you saw the title of this blog, you may have thought you were about to read a review of the Eric Carle picture book, however, I would instead like to talk to you about a garden pest which we are starting to see increased infestations of locally. (If this were a film, this is the bit where the music would be building up to a Dun, Dun, Derrr….) The Box Moth ‘Cydalima Perspectalis’.
